Reflections on Graduating from Medical School: Part III

A picture is worth a thousand words, so I will close out my reflection on graduating from medical school with a few photos from these years of our lives. A surprising few photos capture us in scrubs or work attire, probably because we were usually so careful to get changed before playing with Julia!

Volunteering at a rural health fair during first year of med school.

Volunteering at a program for elementary school children during first year.

Lobbying at the state capitol. During first year.

Our med school friends threw us an amazing baby shower in anticipation of Julia's arrival. We felt so loved.

Study buddies!

Med school + newborn = exhaustion

Julia's early landscape: laptops and textbooks.

We found ways to enjoy our studies.

Julia was somewhat of a class mascot. Our friends from school rallied around us in support and love, and everyone delighted in the class of 2013 baby.

Scrub Run at school in spring of 2010.

Julia came to be a patient model for a Pediatric OMM lab one afternoon!

More studying, Mama?

More??

Julia dominates the note packet... with her slobber.

On her way to Gee Gee's with her security blanket (aka purple lunchbox with mommy's milk).

Loving life.

Scrub snuggles.

You'll notice our undershirts in a lot of photos... when we didn't get changed, we at least threw off the scrub top... haha!

Celebrating the end of Core by dancing in the street!

Med school + toddler = still exhausting
