February 2014 Photos

February was a good month! Aaron was on ER, which is shift work, so he had more time off than usual. I was on an elective, and divided my time between Pediatric Ophthalmology and Sports Medicine. I also took a week of vacation at the beginning of the month. Aaron had a few days off during that time, and it was was so nice for the three of us to be together. We enjoyed celebrating Aaron's birthday and Valentine's day in February.

We went out on a date on Aaron's birthday eve! We saw the movie "Saving Mr. Banks," which we really enjoyed.

And then we went out for seafood. It was a good night!

We went to the monastery on Aaron's actual birthday to celebrate his shared birthday with Stephen! This is my blurry attempt at capturing the two blowing out the candles on their carrot cake :-)

We celebrated Aaron's birthday with my family as well over at my parents' house one evening. I made dinner (and this awesome ice cream... haha!). Here's a cute photo of the birthday boy! It was his 27th birthday this year!

We didn't get to watch nearly as much of the Olympics as I would have liked, but we did enjoy what we could!

Dr. Julia really has the touch, doesn't she? You can see the Wii U in the background - that was Aaron' birthday present from his parents! We had such fun playing through the new Mario game together.

Julia and her "brother" Joey. For a while, she was insisting that we treat him like her brother, including sitting at the dinner table with us eating his fake food, bathing with Julia, having his own bath towel, and getting tucked in for bed.

These stomp rockets were a gift from Aaron's uncle, aunt, and cousins.

Julia got a big kick out of seeing them fly!

Meghan's family was at our church one Sunday for mass, so we went out to lunch together one Sunday.

We enjoyed it, and so did our girls!

We went out for a date a couple days after Valentine's Day!

I got new glasses while on my ophthalmology rotation! The doctor I worked with graciously allowed me to buy glasses at cost. I snapped a rare selfie to send to my family to show off my new specs.

I read a lot this year. This "yoghurt cake" Julia and I made together was from the book "Bringing up Bebe." I will have to do a post on this book and other books I read.
