I am the most ridiculously behind I've ever been... but I just can't quit! It's been so long now... but I certainly remember more about these months now than I will ten years from now, so onward and upward!
In January 2015, I was on Pediatric Gastroenterology and Aaron was on Neurology, both of which had pretty decent hours. I had some vacation days at the end of December/beginning of January since my program does the holiday "chaos" schedule, and as I'd worked Christmas, I got the New Year's days off. We also both took some vacation at the beginning of January, so it was nice to have some family time while Julia was still on Christmas vacation.
The end of January kicked off one of the hardest months of my life, starting with Julia's MRI, but we'll save those photos and reflections for another post. Below are some photos of the happy times we enjoyed in January 2015!
| Pirate goofball with her new Barbie house - a Christmas present from her grandparents! |
| Miss Fash |
| Enjoying an Indian buffet for lunch during our days off. |
| Aunt Elizabeth with her nieces... all decked out in the "aunt" gear she'd given them :-) |
| "Julia wrk shop" - Julia's writing skills starting taking off in 2015! |
| Like almost every other American family, we had Frozen fever ;-) |
| Gourmet burgers for lunch. I even bravely ordered the mystery burger! |
| Celebrating the new year in style! |
| Special after school treat for the first day back to school in 2015! |
| Yep... she's an Isley. ;-) |
| Julia's last home haircut. I retired my scissors after this cut, deciding it was worth it to pay someone else to save time/frustration and avoid the more variable results I seemed to get... ;-) |
| Too cute. I loved these abominable snowman pajamas! |
| Miss Fash, take 2. |
| Saturday at the art museum. |
| I love how Julia used her new binoculars to look at everything... even when things were really close :-) |
| Out completed masterpieces. |
| Caught this one red handed! |
| My little prairie girl. |
| One of Julia's classmates had a birthday at an indoor soccer facility nearby. |
| The kids had fun running and playing together. |
| See the boy next to Julia and how admiringly they are looking at each other? Those two were crazy about one another... and even announced to the class that they were getting married! Ha! Hudson really was one of Julia's best little friends in preschool. |
| Found Julia sleeping in this mask one night... snuggling Baymax :-) |
Thanks for continuing to post even though you're behind. I love this blog. Gold!
ReplyDeleteAw, you're so sweet! I love it, too - so many happy memories :-) Can't wait to REALLY catch up when I'm done with boards!
