October 2015

In October, Aaron was on rheumatology, which was a nice month with good hours. I was on wards. It was a really difficult month, because there were only 2 senior residents on, all our interns were still pretty green, and the census in the hospital was pretty high. However, it was the month of my birthday and of Halloween, so it was still a good month ;-) Julia visited her grandparents in Kansas during fall break, which she enjoyed, we went to the state fair (see earlier post), we went to a charity gala, and we went out to breakfast... a bunch X-D.

One of my interns and his wife, who's a nurse, brought these beautiful doughnuts for my birthday. It was so sweet!

We burgers, fries, and milkshakes for dinner on my birthday. I was trying to figure out why I have a photo of Aaron on my birthday, but not one of me... but this photo is actually from October 29th ;-) But, I'm pretty sure this is what we had for my birthday dinner, so it's a good placeholder :-) 

Julia went to visit Aaron's parents in Kansas during her fall break, which meant we had a random Saturday off together san-child. We started the day with brunch (apparently we were randomly super into going out for brunch this month), went to see "The Martian" at the movie theatre, went shopping, and attended a charity gala as guests of my department.
