In June, I was on wards and Aaron house officer, which means he worked night and I worked long days, so we hardly saw each other... and not half as much of Julia as we would have liked either. So... yeah. Just gonna put it out there... residency is hard.
Every month had its joys, too, though. God is good to us and provides us reminders of His love and care in the midst of any time of trial.
Behold some of those little joys...

| Elizabeth's roommate and BFF all through college got married. Elizabeth was the maid of honor, and she totally nailed the toast. It was funny, touching, and warm. Becca was a beautiful bride, and I was so glad to be off to be able to come celebrate with Becca and Will. |

| Julia and I visited Aaron while he was on nights a couple times. This was after eating dinner with him that we'd brought him, to spare him having to eat hospital food. |
| Julia picked out some cereal for the morning from the cafeteria. Is there anything more magical than individually packaged sugary cereal when you are a kid? |
| Julia and I hit up free family day at the local art museum. We made Aaron a special card for Father's Day. |
| Fun times at the neighborhood school playground one day after work. |
| I love Julia's unique sense of style :-) |
| Ever since Julia was small, I've loved watching her sleep. Here she is in our bed - she is a frequent guest ;-) |
Thanks for the compliment :)
