One day during our trip, we went to a pottery painting place. Julia painted an owl cup that she loves - she still take a sip of water out of her owl cup each night before bed. Stephen painted a dragon, Aaron painted a castle box (both of which were supposed to be for use in their homemade board game ;-), Jessica painted an owl, and I painted a chip
and dip tray. We were all very pleased with the final results!
Julia and her grandparents ended up leaving when Julia was done to go back to the house to meet Stephen's godfather, Tom, who came into town to visit. It was good they left us when they did, because the guys and I took for.ev.er. to finish our painting.
We had a nice visit with Tom. The night he came into town was the evening Mary had arranged for a mass to be said for Francis Marie. Their pastor said the intention for the mass aloud, saying that Francis Marie didn't live very long on earth, but that she is very much loved. There were plenty of tears shed during mass, but it was very good for healing to have that mass said. Afterward, we went out for Italian food.

As you may recall,
Julia has had an affinity for the circus, and one of her dreams came true by getting to go to the circus one night while we were in Kansas!

I guess we better hope his students never find this blog. Haha!

Or his patients. Haha!
 A few more photos....

Jessica and I loved teasing Stephen about all of his naps ;-)

We played a lot of board games!

Our last night in town, we went to a Japanese steak house.
