The long story is over 50 pictures, so I'm breaking it up into a couple posts.
I'll start with the food. Oh, the food. So delicious. So good looking. So themed.
I think I'm going to drop out of medical school and become a party planner because I'm such a sucker for themed food with little signs. Because you need a sign to tell you a deviled egg is a deviled egg, right? No way you were figuring that one out on your own. I love the little signs. I spent forever making them. I gave them to Meghan at the end of her shower and told her to scrapbook with them because I didn't want them to get thrown away. I doubt they'll ever get scrapbooked. But, please, for the love of all that is good and holy, don't tell me when you throw them away, Meghan. Because I might shed a couple tears. I loved them that much.
Well, not really. But I do love them.
The sign on the door to the dining room. This was a shout-out to my Grandad Rick, who used to tell us stories about Little Miss Muffet's Buffet (pronounced Buff-it). I think he was looking down on the buffet laughing, and probably thinking that the food looked pretty delicious!
The spread.
There were three men in this tub of punch! If you look carefully up toward the top, there are three "Little People" men floating in the middle column of the punch dispenser.
